Village green in Provodov

The proposal does not focus on grand gestures, but sensitively works with the interweaving of the surrounding landscape into the village center. The fundamental principle is the preservation of views into the surrounding hilly landscape, complemented by a compositional axis between the school and the cross, along which all the important structures of the village are situated. The space between the school, the municipal office, and the shop is perceived as the core, where the social life of the village takes place. To the south, it connects to the open space around the fire station and the pub, and to the north, a long green strip terminated by a small cross. Each of these three parts has its own specific character, corresponding to the activities that take place in the given location.
