About bus station
The city meets the landscape at the site of the bus terminal.
A compact, barrier-free and safe bus terminal form a transition between the city and the countryside. It is designed in the historic, former bus station building, complemented by a lightweight roof structure that covers the platform and allows comfortable boarding during the whole year.
The proposed solution significantly increases the comfort and safety of pedestrian and cyclist movement throughout the area. The new park creates missing link from the city centre towards nature.
The blue-green infrastructure elements in the park and the paved areas of the bus station improve the microclimate throughout the whole area.
